Behavioral Health Care Management
The mission of the Behavioral Health Program at Universal Primary Care is to promote the health and wellness of our communities. We strive to provide the highest quality of care. Through a combination of compassion, knowledge, and respect, we work to encourage personal growth and development.
Clinical Services
UPC’s Behavioral Health Care Managers (BHCM) work with you and your Primary Care Provider in team-based treatment planning. The goal of the BHCM program is to help teach the skills and tools that reduce the negative impact depression and anxiety symptoms have on one’s life. BHCMs provide education, evidence-based brief interventions, and linkage and referral to community-based services as indicated.
**Crisis situations requiring hospitalization or acute psychiatric evaluation for safety concerns are handled through the individual’s local hospital’s emergency services.

The National Suicide Prevention hotline is changing from 1-800-273-8255 to “988”.
988 connects people to the National Suicide Lifeline, and people can chat, text, or call to speak directly to a team of trained mental health professionals. “988” goes live on July 16, 2022. Please share with your family and friends. Together we are stronger!
